2026 FIS World Junior/U23 Championships
Lillehammer, Norway
March 2-8, 2026
Saturday, February 28th
Today was an easy day for most of us after the team sprint simulation yesterday. It was picture perfect weather in Sjusjøen this morning. Most of us went out for an easy morning ski, some of us skiing up to the top of the mountain to visit the bakery and get a mid-ski snack.
For lunch our chef Mattias made one of his very very best meals of pasta and sausage with some other garnish. The boys then spent most of the afternoon playing video games, while the girls used this time to get their homework done instead. There were also lots of us doing some recovery or napping. We then watched the World Cup sprint race in Falun for some inspiration for the coming week.
That evening, we went out for a walk to catch the most beautiful sunset and slide down the ski hill like penguins. I am not too sure what happened after dinner as I continued my trend of passing out promptly around 9 pm due to the slow battle of adjusting to the new time.
