NCCP COMMUNITY COACHING AWAD MODULE
(Training for coaches of athletes with a physical disability)

Where:  Whistler Olympic Park, Callaghan Valley

When:  Saturday, February 1st, 2014

For coaches wishing to pursue this training, the first step is to complete the prescribed mainstream program and become a NCCP ‘trained’ Community Coach.

The “NCCP Community Coaching AWAD Module” is comprised of two hours of classroom learning, one hour of training as an observer coach at an entry level camp, and two hours of training as an assistant coach helping at the same camp. The classroom and practical components of this module must be completed on the same weekend.

The pre-requisites for taking this module are:

(1)    successfully completed the NCCP Introduction to Community Coach workshop (in the sport of cross-country skiing);

(2)    successfully completed the NCCP Community Coaching workshop (in the sport of cross-country skiing); and

(2)    successfully completed and submitted an NCCP Community Coaching Experience Form. 

Registration Fee: $60.00 per coach/participant.
